Modifications and Chroma (intensity)

"Intense or not Intense?", that is the question. Here's a painting I did last fall. I initially painted it with dazzling green field in the background and with a brilliant yellow right behind the tree. I loved it and thought it was one of my best pieces. I offered it on eBay and heard a resounding gong. Nobody wanted it. Now when buyers don't buy, they never send me a note with what they didn't like so, I have to guess. I decided that it was too bright. I went to work and toned down the green and yellow and modified the foreground. This piece is currently up for auction so we'll see. Did I get it right or not?
